Meet Perry & Pip
LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT BARN HOME for Perry (long-hair black & white) & Pip (Pippers, Pippy - dilute short hair tortie). These two have eyes for no one but each other. Everyone in the colony used to pick on Perry until Pip stepped up and stopped it cold! She is a beautiful dilute tortie, wicked smart - LOVES temptation treats, as does Perry, and happily gives slow blinks & loves to be talked to by her colony caregivers (she'll roll belly-up over & over while we prepare the food). One or the other is always around at dinner time, however, neither will eat until they go find the other & then they share bowls. They are fixed already & will have vaccinations updated, physicals and will be microchipped before placement. They LOVE climbing on rocks, sleeping IN rock piles & still use their shelters. But they are also subterranean dwellers, sharing decades old groundhog burrows at their colony. Unfortunately their colony is being bulldozed and the tunnels collapsed to pave the lot for a parking lot. There has been construction (staging of machinery, stone, mulch, sand, dumpsters, etc..) on the lot for 7 years now & they are both very good about clearing out once the machines start, but we are worried they may go underground, or into the boulder pile and get trapped and killed. They are very smart about machines tho & so far know when to clear out but they are also fascinated by them, Pip especially loves to sleep in the cabs of the earth movers when someone leaves a window open. If you're interested in sharing your property with these two please contact us at [email protected] (Currently in Havre de Grace, Maryland).
