Stray Streets TNR was formed to bring compassionate care and population control to the stray and discarded companion animals of Havre de Grace. Abandoned by irresponsible former “owners” these animals have been left to fend for themselves and to breed without end. Our mission is to provide, food, veterinary care in the form of spay/neuter, vaccination & emergency services to these homeless animals and their feral offspring in the hopes of preventing their existence in Havre de Grace from being viewed as a nuisance or health hazard in the communities in which they exist.
BECOME A FOSTER PARENTFoster care volunteers provide temporary care for kittens and cats. The foster care program serves as a lifeline for those animals who come in under eight-weeks-old, very sick, injured, or needing some extra socialization. Our foster families provide a quiet, stress-free, and loving environment, giving each animal a better chance at a happier and healthier life with a forever family. Some animals may only need a home for several days, while others may need several months depending on the type of care they need. By offering your time, energy and home to an animal in need, you prepare the animal for adoption into a permanent home. So, what are you waiting for? Purrs, snuggles and silliness await! |

Do you need help with a community cat(s)?
Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) is widely recognized as the most humane and effective strategy for reducing feral cat populations. TNR involves humanely trapping feral cats living in cities, towns and rural areas and transporting them to a veterinary clinic where they are spayed/ neutered, vaccinated for rabies & distemper & treated for any visible wounds or illness and then returned.
