UPADTE on Dally (10.18.17) Sorry we haven't poted about Dally in a bit. So many ill kittens this year, we haven't had time. Dally had a wonderful foster caregiver step up for her & 2 of her siblings who hadn't been released yet. She is currently on antibiotics & being monitored closely. She & her sweet brother Dish (orange & white tabby) & sister Brave (silver tabby) will be looking for homes shortly. If you would like to help contribute to their medical care you can donate online at StrayStreetsTNR.com. Thank you!

UPDATE: Dr.Magnifico thinks
Dally's closed sunken eyes might be the result of dehydration. So she received fluids today (& will need them the next few days to bring her fever down), has gotten a change in antibiotics & will be monitored closely. She has combo tested neg/neg for FeLV & FIV -WooHoo. This vet visit was fairly inexpensive, costing us $60 , but is just one of MANY ill cats we have trapped for TNR lately that need intensive medical help. This won't be her only visit before she can even be spayed & started on vaccinations. Luckily she tamed quite quickly so we can handle her without stressing her. (Dally, all 2.3lbs of her at the vet waiting to get fluids.)

This is Dally, approx 10-12 week old feral kitten, runt of her litter. From day 1 she's had goopy/crusty eyes but her siblings guide him everywhere. She's as quick as they are but we finally managed to catch 7 of the nine. She's off to the vet tomorrow to see what can be done about his sight. We really can't afford to do rescues right now....but again, what else can we do? Please consider helping Dally by making a donation to cover his vet visit tomorrow. All donations are tax deductible & 100% of it goes directly to the care of the animals. Online donations can be made at www.straystreetstnr.com. Thank you

That's what we figure & have started the Lysine & antibiotics...but he keeps his eyes closed even when they aren't crusty. We haven't encountered a cat who does that yet.
